We aren't just aggregators. Our founders, Cheshta, spent a full year on the ground as a volunteer. And Shubham has been a host for 10+ years. We know the challenges, the joys, and the gaps in the current system.
We don’t just offer free stays and meals; we design experiences intended to be the "positive turn" in your life’s narrative. We believe that by contributing to a community's story, you find the most meaningful chapters of your own.
Unlike large marketplaces, we are the ones on the ground. By hosting you ourselves, we make sure every contribution stays where it’s needed, becoming part of the community’s success story and respecting the local culture.
Turning travelers into community members, and trips into life-turning points which leave a lasting impact on the local community.
Browse our curated volunteering projects. Pick the "turn" that matches the impact you want to make and the story you want to tell.
Once you apply, we start with a personal 1-on-1 call to get to know you and your goals. We walk with you through every step of the journey, from planning your arrival to preparing you for your specific mission. Our goal is to ensure you make a real, respectful contribution to our community.
This is where the turn happens. You will live with us and work alongside us to bring your chosen project to life. You leave behind a lasting contribution to the community, and in return, you take home a new chapter (turn) in your life’s story.
I’ve spent the last ten years walking the coastal paths of my home to ensure travel actually respects and supports the people living here. From natural farming to youth workshops, my work has always been about one thing: building a self-reliant future for our communities. I’m here to bridge the gap between your journey and our community’s growth.
I can sum up my life in seven turning points. One of the most defining turns was choosing to volunteer for a year across India and abroad. That journey didn't just change my location; it gave my story a meaning. Now, I’ve come full circle to Palghar where my first volunteering trip began in February 2025 to build “The Positive Turn”.
